Offenders as Fathers: Building Capacity for Fathering

This article reports on the authors' experience of running a fathering program for men at the Ontario Correctional Institute (OCI), a 220 bed, medium security provincial prison for adult male offenders in Brampton, Ontario.

The program came about as a result of an awareness that many offenders come from backgrounds of childhood victimization and a number of them sadly go on to perpetrate the cycle of violence that they themselves have endured.
