Getting the most from your Clinical Consultations:
Caring Dads Facilitator Training includes 2 parts - the intensive two-day course presented in person, and 4 Clinical Consultations which follow this course and are delivered online in a distributed learning format. Each Clinical Consultation is not only a great opportunity to deepen your understanding of the Caring Dads program, but also share experiences with Facilitators from around the world.
Live webinars with an Accredited Caring Dads Trainer
On the “Schedule” tab, you’ll find a list of upcoming webinars on our channel. Since the webinar series is designed to offer clinical oversight and support to you as a new Facilitator, you should try and schedule the webinars for dates that closely match your own progress through your first facilitated Caring Dads group:
Clinical Consultation 1 focusses on weeks 1 - 3 of the Group Intervention program
Clinical Consultation 2 focusses on weeks 4 - 8 of the Group Intervention program
Clinical Consultation 3 focusses on weeks 9 - 14 of the Group Intervention program
Clinical Consultation 4 focusses on weeks 15 - 17 of the Group Intervention program
We know that our Facilitators’ schedules are tight, and we try and populate our calendar to ensure that webinars are available at a variety of times, and across a variety of time-zones. Email us if you’re struggling to find suitable dates and times.
Once you’ve registered for a webinar you will be emailed information to connect to the live session either by computer or by phone. After the webinar concludes you will again be emailed a link to a recording of that session to reinforce the day’s learning.
Self-directed Study
Before each webinar, prepare by completing the relevant Self-Reflection Guides and watching the Best Practice Videos associated with that session. After the webinar, remember to complete the session’s Evaluation online. You can access the resources for each session using the tabs above.
The Pro-Resources page has a wealth of additional supporting material that is frequently referred to in webinars and often referenced in the Theory Manual.
Please email info@caringdads.org to inquire about private webinars if you are struggling to find a webinar that works for you.
